Your images stay on your device

Editing, converting and compressing run inside your browser. We do not upload your pictures to a server to edit them. Importing from a web address is the one step that passes through our server, and it is never stored.

Is AMG Image Studio really free?

Yes. The studio is free to use and you do not need to create an account.

Do my images leave my device?

No. Editing, converting, compressing and AI background removal happen inside your browser. The only exception is importing an image from a web address, which is downloaded through our server and is not stored.

Which image formats can I open?

JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG and AVIF. AVIF depends on your browser.

How large can my images be?

The limits are shown on the Help page. Very large images need more memory, so a modern computer or phone is recommended.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. The studio is built for touch screens as well as desktop computers.
